I arrived in Hong Kong in July 2020, just a week after the National Security Law came into force and in the midst of ever-tightening restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I have been working as a correspondent for Spanish and Latin American media since March 2022. During this time I have covered international political news in Asia-Pacific, focusing on the regions of China, Japan, the Korean peninsula, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
